EASY2 BATTERY
With smart1® EASY2 Battery, up to 5 battery and hybrid systems from different manufacturers and of any size can be interconnected to form a virtual battery. Our unique smart1 multi-use battery controller adapts to the requirements of your project and enables a wide variety of control strategies. From self-consumption optimization and peak shaving to seasonal SOC sharing, the system covers almost every application scenario easily and without much configuration effort. The system can be expanded to up to 25 storage systems by cascading, thus also enabling use in large-scale storage projects.
For more extensive energy projects, the system can be combined with the higher-level smart1® EASY2 EMS Commercial and via that also with the smart1® EASY2 E-Mobility.
Functions
Up to 5 manufacturer-independent battery storage units (also hybrid)
Unique multi-use battery controller with various control strategies:
Self-consumption optimization
Peak shaving
Seasonal and weekend-dependent operating mode changes
SOC sharing for mixed operating modes
Backup provision for backup power (storage-dependent)
Extensive interfaces for connection to the grid operator and external components
Load shedding relay and alarming for peak shaving applications
Manual end-of-charge for battery calibration
Measurement is carried out via an external energy meter: S1ProMeter, S1BasicMeter, Janitza UMG
PV monitoring and control (optional as an extension)
Integration directly via inverter (LAN and RS485) for all common inverter manufacturers, or indirectly via external network energy meter
Inverter control by ripple control receiver, dynamic reductions and zero feed-in

Support for up to 30 AC/DC charging points (optional as an extension):
Real-time load balancing for 4 to 30 charging points - dynamically distributes the available power to all AC and DC/HPC stations and prevents grid overload.
Two freely selectable control points (NVP & supply line) - each can be configured with dynamic, static or hard limits.
Fail-safe fallback to fixed total limit - secures operation in the event of measurement or communication errors.
Integrated protection mechanisms - limit value alarms and optional local load shedding via external energy meter.
